Jimmy Durante, actor (1920-1972). Comedian, Jimmy Durante was a frequent guest of Fanny Brice during the 1930's. Ocean Beach resident Ken Patterson recalls Durante treating him and other Ocean Beach children to ice cream in John & Ann's ice cream parlor (present day site of the Alligator).
